About Robert G. Parr, Ph.D.

Dr. Parr’s interests span a wide range of experience in theology, cultural anthropology, the sociology of religion, and marriage and the family. After coming to Cedarville in 1980, he was instrumental in establishing the Social Work program and securing professional accreditation through the Council of Social Work Education. He has conducted pastors’ leadership conferences in Kenya, Africa, and Mongolia, and he has participated in a three-week European Reformation study tour of seven European countries. Dr. Parr retired from Cedarville University in 2023.
