Anatomy of the Elephant Foot
Abstract
One of the most significant challenges presented by the captive management of both Asian and African elephants is maintaining good foot condition in these animals. This book covers normal anatomy and physiology of the elephant foot and teaches practitioners how to recognize, prevent, and treat foot problems. The work originated from a conference on elephant foot care held in March of 1998 and includes chapters from 46 leading authorities in the field of elephant foot care.
