Abstract

The scattering properties of a number of substances potentially suitable as windows for x‐ray diffraction studies are measured. The study includes a variety of plastics, epoxies, and metal foils. Measurements are reported for a fixed target configuration such as is used in isotropic liquid studies over a range in scattering angles 2 °⩽Θ⩽75 ° for CuKα radiation.
