Dr. Robert P. Alexander a native West Virginian has spend most of his life in the state except for his service in the USAF during the Korean War, and a short period of time spent in Michigan. He completed undergraduate studies at Marshall College with the aid of the GI bill. His master’s degree was earned from Marshall University and the Ph. D degree from Ohio University. Marshall employed him for 44 years until his retirement in May of 2003. While at Marshall he served as the first Director of Placement, Director of MBA studies, Chairman, Management Department, and Dean of the College of Business. In civic engagements he served 16 years on the Huntington City Council having served one term as Mayor, President of the Marshall Alumni Association, President of the WV Municipal League, 1st Vice President of the Tri-State Airport Authority (15 years), as well as numerous others offices state and national. He has several publications and other scholarly works.
