About Robert Deters

Dr. Deters joined Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide in 2014 and has been the Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology since 2015. He teaches a variety of engineering courses at multiple levels from Introduction to Engineering to Senior Design. He currently serves as the technical lead for the Real World Design Challenge, an international competition for high school students in the area of aeronautical engineering.

Dr. Deters has authored several journal, conference, and technical papers in the area of applied aerodynamics. His main area of research is on the aerodynamics and design of small unmanned aircraft with expertise in wind tunnel and propeller testing.
