Professor Nillsen gained his undergraduate degree at the University of Tasmania with
studies in literature, mathematics and science. He studied at postgraduate level at the
Flinders University of South Australia, under Igor Kluvánek. Academic positions have been
held by Professor Nillsen at the Flinders University of South Australia, the Royal
University of Malta, the Open University and the University of Swansea. Areas of
Expertise: Harmonic analysis, dynamical systems, measure theory, education, higher
education policy 

Fields of Study: Harmonic analysis, measure theory, dynamical systems, ergodic theory,
applications of elementary mathematics to social policy, mathematical exposition,
