About Richard Reed

Dr. Richard Reed, professor in the Department of Management serves as the interim Dean for the College. He has graciously agreed to this role while a search for a dean is conducted.

Dr. Reed is a well-respected member of the faculty and accomplished researcher. His research focus has been on issues of strategy content and innovation strategy, including work on late movers, issues in technology transfer and misleading financial disclosures. He works with doctoral students and teaches strategy classes for MBA and Executive MBA students.
In addition to his work within the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Dr. Reed has served on the Cleveland State University Graduate Council and the University Research Council. He has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and has served as co-editor-in-chief of the American Business Journal. A founding member of the Strategic Management Society, he is also a member of the Academy of Management.
Prior to joining the Monte Ahuja College of Business, Dr. Reed held a variety of positions at Washington State University's Carson College of Business, where he was chair of the Department of Management, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship as well as the James Huber Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies. He holds a doctorate in strategic management from the University of Bradford, where he also earned a master's degree in business administration. At Leed's Polytechnic, he received a post-graduate diploma in management studies.
