About Richard Mercer

Dr. Mercer came to Wright State in 1980 immediately after receiving his Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Washington. His thesis was in Mathematical Physics on the subject of "Quantum Stochastic Processes", supervised by John Westwater. Soon after that he developed an interest in Operator Algebras, and that has since been his field of research. In recent years he has devoted his efforts to the Calculus Laboratory Project and to Technology in Education.
