About Richard G. Tait Jr.

My research focuses on genetics and management of beef cattle to improve functionality, quality, and profitability for producers.
This includes development and transfer of tools which allow producers to make better selection decisions earlier in the production cycle.
I have utilized tools such as:
- Genetic evaluation
- Real-time ultrasound to evaluate potential selection candidates
- Genetic markers to evaluate novel, expensive to measure, or expressed late in life traits.
