About Raquel Davis

With a B.A. in Theatre Design from Middlebury College, and an M.F.A. in Lighting Design from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Raquel Davis began teaching at Boise State University in 2011, and joined the full-time faculty in 2013. In addition to her work at Boise State, Davis is a lighting designer for the O’Neill Theatre Center in Waterford, CT, Boise Contemporary Theatre, and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Her designs include: world premieres of Young Jean Lee’s 'Untitled Feminist Show' (Walker Arts Center and Baryshnikov Arts Center) and 'LEAR' (SoHo REP), 'A Bright New Boise' (Partial Comfort Productions), 'Reading Under the Influence' (Daryl Roth Theatre), 'End Days' (Ensemble Studio Theatre), 'STRETCH: a fantasia' (The Living Theatre), 'The Clean House' (GEVA Theatre Center), 'Boom!' (Perseverance Theater), and many BCT productions including: Tigers Be Still, Nighttime Survival Guide, Graphic Depictions, Questions My Mother Can’t Answer, Gruesome Playground Injuries, A Permanent Image, Re-fraction, Norway and Namaste Man! She is also the faculty advisor for Boise State University's student chapter of USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology).
