A native of El Salvador, Ramón Antonio Morales Quintanilla's own research
interests are in the areas of law and economics and corporate and securities law. He
earned his law degree at the Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado in San Salvador, where
he taught law and economics. He earned a master of laws degree and a doctor of laws
degree, both cum laude, from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, in Spain, and a
master's in business administration from the University of Louisville, in Kentucky.
After conducting postgraduate work at the Universidad de Salamanca, in Spain, he returned
to El Salvador, where he was founding dean of the law school at Escuela Superior de
Economía y Negocios.
