Raina completed a B.Multimedia(Software Engineering) with Honours in 2004 at
Southern Cross University, and won a University Medal that year. 

Raina teaches first year web development, systems analysis and design, databases and
multimedia applications development, and coordinates the Women in Technology (WIT)
program at Southern Cross University. Her research interests include women in technology,
introductory programming education and learning environments, and cognitive load theory. 

Raina is currently completing her PhD study, expected to submit during 2012. Her PhD
topic concerns making introductory programming courses both more accessible and more
successful.
