Abstract

Background: Nasal Packing in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. Endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS) is a continuously developing field that has had many exciting developements in the past 3 decades. Advances in the understanding of functional sinus surgery and mucosal-sparing techniques has driven an interest in the management of the post-ESS nasal and sinus cavity to achieve more rapid postoperative reepithelialization and reciliation. Many surgeons believe that the postoperative treatment regimen is as important as the surgery.
