Karen Hanmer is a book artist and binder working in Glenview, IL. Her intimate, playful works fragment and layer text and image to intertwine memory and cultural history, and the history of science. She curated the Guild of Book Workers “Marking Time” exhibition and serves on the editorial board of The Bonefolder. Her work is collected and exhibited widely in the US and abroad.
