I was born in Athens, Greece in December 9, 1974. I hold a B.Sc. in Biology (1997), a M.Sc. in Biostatistics (2001) and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics (2005) from University of Athens, Greece. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Biology at the Department of Informatics with Applications in Biomedicine of the University of Central Greece. My research interests include Bioinformatics (computational sequence analysis using HMMs, NNs and other machine learning methods) and Biostatistics (methodology of meta-analysis, genetic epidemiology and genetic association studies).
