I am a research academic at the University of Bolton, specializing in DIY culture
and management within the music industries. 

My PhD thesis was titled "Adopting new technologies: Self-sufficiency and the DIY
artist", which focused on helping the DIY artist to move towards self-sufficiency
through the use of new technologies.
