About Dr Paul R Weldon
Dr Paul R. Weldon started at ACER in 2010, and was a Senior Research Fellow in the Teaching and Learning program at ACER departing in 2023. Dr Weldon has an in-depth understanding of the Victorian and national school education sector and has undertaken evaluations, surveys, reviews and reports for Departments of Education at state and national levels, the AEU, NCEC, OECD, UNESCO and others. He has experience in quantitative, qualitative and ethnographic methodologies. His work includes the national evaluations of the Teach for Australia program and the Staff in Australia’s Schools (SiAS) 2010 and 2013 surveys. Paul has a particular interest in teacher workforce and has published on out-of-field teaching, early career teacher attrition and the Victorian teacher workforce.
