Paul Weldon is a Research Fellow in the Teaching, Learning and Transitions program
at ACER. Prior to this he was Research Associate at Independent Schools Victoria where he
undertook research into education and policy issues and was a representative for ISCA on
the LSAY Strategic Advisory Committee and a member of the ACMA Cybersafety Consultative
Group. 

Dr Weldon has an in-depth understanding of the Victorian and national school education
sector and has been involved in reviews and reports for the NCEC and for the current
Review of Funding, for DEEWR. He has experience in quantitative, qualitative and
ethnographic methodologies and recently managed the Staff in Australia’s Schools (SiAS)
2010 survey for DEEWR. 

Dr Weldon also has recent experience in the evaluation of pre-service teaching programs
and is currently managing the three-year evaluation of the Teach for Australia Pathway
for DEEWR.
