Tenured Associate Professor of the Academic Support Department (English) within the
University College, Paul M. Bush graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1987 with
his master's degree in English. After teaching at the Tulsa Community College as an
assistant professor for five years, he resigned when his wife's more lucrative
position in pharmaceuticals forced a move. He has been teaching in Western Kentucky
University's Academic Support Department (formerly WKU's Bowling Green
Community College) since 1997.

In addition to his attempts at being a poet, Assoc. Prof. Bush is a vocalist/rhythm
guitar player in a country band called the Black Velvet Band (member since 2007).
