Dr. Patricia Korzekwa Hampshire joined the Department of Special Education and Early
Childhood Studies at Boise State University in 2011, after completing her Ph.D. in
Special Education from Indiana University. She also has an M.S. in Special Education from
Portland State University. Much of Dr. Hampshire's work has focused on the education
of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition to having experience as a Special
Education Teacher and teaching at the university level, she has worked as an Autism
Special Education Liaison and a Community Education Coordinator at the Christain Sarkine
Autism Treatment Center at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, and as a lead
trainer in the Helping Answer Needs by Developing Specialists in Autism (HANDS in Autism)
program. Dr. Hampshire has also served as a coach for the Special Olympics program in
Marion County, Indiana.
