Dr. Partha Mukherjee joined the faculty of the Department of Mathematics at Boise
State University in 2012. His education includes Bachelor and Master of Statistics
degrees from the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, India, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in
Statistics from the University of Minnesota. Before coming to Boise State, he spent a
year as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Biostatistics at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Mukherjee's research interests
include biomedical image analysis including MRI and fMRI imaging, analysis of
tensor-valued images, jump regression analysis and its applications, and statistical
process control. His consulting work has included studying the influence of APOE4 and
APOE3 genes and air pollutants on Alzheimer’s disease and the analysis of data for the
Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at the University of Minnesota.
