After a distinguished career of more than 30 years on the College of Law Faculty,
Professor Emeritus Osborne M. Reynolds, Jr. officially retired at the end of the 2002
Spring Semester. Although retired, he continues his affiliation with the College,
maintaining an office in the Emeritus Faculty wing. He taught courses in land use
planning, local government, regulated industries, and torts.
Reynolds came to OU in 1968 after serving as a visiting assistant professor at the
University of Arizona in 1967-68. He was a teaching fellow at Stanford University in
1965-66.
Admitted to the Arizona Bar in 1964, Reynolds is a member of the Order of the Coif, Phi
Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta, and the American Bar Association.
He is author of Handbook on Local Government Law:, published by West, and coauthor of
Advanced Torts: Cases and Materials, which he wrote with Professor Peter B Kutner.
