Abstract
The paper presents a technique for aggregating the power system composite loads based on the network reduction as well as a parameter estimation procedure. The developed technique aggregates the interconnected loads separated by distribution feeders. The dynamic load components, basically induction motors, are aggregated based on its conventional equivalent circuit where the aggregate motor parameters are estimated through an estimation algorithm. The static loads are aggregated based on transferring them to the desired boundary bus through maintaining the phasor voltage and complex power at the original load buses as well as at the boundary bus. A great reduction of the computational effort in addition to the validity of the developed technique is accomplished. Furthermore, a comparative study between the developed technique and a well known method in the literature is conducted.
