After completing my doctorate at Cornell University, I worked at Tulane University in New
Orleans. I have worked at universities in Australia, the United States, Germany, Canada
and Japan. I have taught courses in Economics Departments, Business Schools and in an
Industrial and Labor Relations School. In the last few years, I have spent my research
semesters at several leading academic institutions as a visiting academic. At Bond, I
have been Head of the Economics Department in the Business School for nine years and
served as the Faculty's Deputy Dean (Research) for five years. I am currently
Director of the Globalisation and Development Centre. The academic area in which I have
achieved most recognition is for my research on globalisation. In recent years, my areas
of research interest have increasingly focussed on Asia-oriented research.
