Facebook and the use of social networking tools to enhance language learner motivation and engagement

Abstract
With over 150 million active users worldwide, Facebook is transforming how we communicate. Through the development of digital connections, members can share personal and cultural information and interact virtually with community members. This presentation presented a Facebook project in an intermediate French global simulation course and how its implementation enhanced the Standards of Foreign Language Learning and the course's grammatical, functional, and linguistic objectives. http://www.cls.yale.edu/info/?p=69
