As Deputy Director of CPUT Libraries I have a wide range of interests. Quality
Assurance in libraries; Student training in Information literacy and related academic
skills; staff development; marketing of the library and its services, and the
library's collections and their gearing for user support, including the digitization
of collections as well as library management and operations are all key interests. As an
ex-teacher and part-time lecturer in educational research, the idea of learning within
the lives of students also plays a central role in my thinking.

A chequered academic career has led my obtaining a B.A in English and Development
Studies, a Higher Education Diploma in English and Latin, a M.A. in Development Studies,
a B Bibl, a Diploma in Specialised Education (School Library Science) and a Diploma in
Datametrics.
