Michael Smithee's research interests include international education policy and practice, organizational change, and intercultural aspects of the university. Currently he is a consultant with higher education institutions on issues of international education. While at Syracuse University (retired 2006) he served as adjunct faculty in the School of Education, and the College of Arts and Sciences, and served as an administrator of international educational programs in the Slutzker Center for International Services. In addition to his consulting, he serves as director of publications for the International Honor Society, Phi Beta Delta, as well as editor-in-chief of the their publication: Research of Phi Beta Delta.
