Avi's Story: A Day in the Life of a Middle-Tier (But In All Other Respects Outstanding) Law Professor

Michael A. Livingston, Rutgers University School of Law-Camcen

Abstract

This article, "Avi's Story," is a brief fiction piece describing a day in the life of a professor at a respectable but nonelite law school in the contemporary period. The article uses humor and irony to address several issues in the legal academy including race and gender relations, US News and other law school rankings, and the economic crisis. It spares no one, including the narrator, but does so in a playful and constructive way.
