Michael Anthony Lawrence is a Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate &
International Programs at the Michigan State University College of Law. Professor
Lawrence was a Fulbright Scholar in Beijing, China in 2005; and he frequently teaches
short courses on various legal topics in other countries around the world. His primary
research focus is constitutional law. Professor Lawrence received his law degree cum
laude from the University of Wisconsin, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the
Wisconsin Law Review. Prior to joining the MSU College of Law faculty in 1994, Professor
Lawrence practiced at the law firm of Baker & McKenzie in Washington, D.C.
