Abstract
“Behind the Door” training was developed in the hospital as a response from real life situations and was adapted to the nursing curriculum. There are two separate “Behind the Door” trainings. “Behind the Door” #1 focuses on critical thinking skills utilizing a hanging scenario and introduces student participants to items and usage of the items in the crash cart. “Behind the Door” #2 builds on the knowledge of the code cart and consist of four critical thinking scenarios. Student participants experience and demonstrate their thinking and action skills, thereby reinforcing their use of the code cart.
