Mark Bieraugel is the business librarian at Robert E. Kennedy Library. He provides
instruction on research processes and resources, consults with students on their research
needs, and purchases ebooks, books, and other resources for Orfalea College of Business
students and faculty. 

As a team member of the Academic Services Librarian team Mark contributes to the library
in a variety of ways including research consultations with students, reference
instruction, and serving as an active member of library project teams. 

Prior to joining CalPoly, he was a reference librarian at Tacoma Community College and
Edmonds Community College. For eleven years he worked as a business researcher in three
startup companies, a PR firm, a large regional accounting firm, and Microsoft. His early
teaching career included work in an English-language school in the Saitama region of
Japan. His retail career included work as a gemologist and a stint at Neiman-Marcus in
Beverly Hills.
