A native of México, Mauricio Cano del Valle's own research interests are in the area of tax law and rational choice theory. He received a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México,where he teaches law and economics and law and public policy. He received a master's degree in law, economics and public policy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
