Through work and good fortune, life finds me as the Engineering Librarian at the University of South Florida, Tampa Library. Along with the rest of the library professionals and subject specialists, I enjoy providing information expertise to students and faculty, with special focus on the research needs of these clients and colleagues. Over the past few years, I've worked extensively in evaluating the resource requirements of engineering and science patrons and hope to further hone my skills and our library collections. Digital reference services, instruction, and collection development make up a majority of the academic library day, but creative efforts include publications on collection development for new librarians, the economic realities of library chat services, and providing advanced research services. I have educational background in international studies and economics, as well as current enrollment in a graduate certificate program at USF in the Environmental Studies and Policy area. The increasing trend and prevalence of interdisciplinary research, specifically involving engineering, provides for an exciting professional future and an excellent combination of my academic skills and interests. If you need help, make sure to ask a librarian.
