Professor Falk joined the faculty in 1987, prior to which she was Associate
Appellate Counsel for the Legal Aid Society's Criminal Appeals Bureau. She has
collaborated on several articles with Elizabeth Fajans in the area of cognitive theory
and language and the law. Their most recent articles have appeared in the University of
Hawaii Law Review and the Legal Studies Forum. They have also co-authored Writing for Law
Practice published by Foundation Press (2004) and the widely used reference text,
Scholarly Writing in Law School: Seminar Papers, Law Review Articles, Law Review
Competition Papers (3rd ed. 2005)(with E. Fajans).
