Professor Eyster joined the faculty in 1984. She was previously an associate with
the firm LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae, focusing on general litigation, antitrust
litigation, and counseling, and she coordinated the firm’s pro bono activities. She is a
member of the AALS Clinical Section, and its Externship Committee, which she has chaired.
She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Legal Education
Association (CLEA), and a member of its board of directors. She is a frequent contributor
to workshops and programs sponsored by these organizations, including the bi-annual New
Clinical Teachers Workshop sponsored by CLEA. She is a trained mediator, and has been
active in mediating disputes in the New York State Civil Court, in the Safe Horizon
Community Mediation Center and in schools. She is also a mentor for mediators in
training.
