BA Psych(Hons) (University of Queensland) PhD (University of Queensland) HODSPA Dr. Edwards began his training in psychology at the University of South Australia, and after moving to Queensland, completed his undergraduate, honours and PhD degrees at the University of Queensland. He has lectured in Learning and Cognition, Biological Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, and Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. In early 2005, he was appointed to the position of Assistant Professor in psychology at Bond University. In early 2006 he was appointed as the Head of Psychology. Prior to pursuing an academic career, Dr. Edwards was employed as a Training Manager and corporate trainer. In these positions he acted as a consultant to the corporate community and was responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, evaluation and administration of various training initiatives. In his role as a corporate trainer, he specialised in teaching organisational behaviour, supervisory and management skills, and communication and conflict resolution skills. In these positions he worked in the private and public sectors, and was self-employed.
