Abstract
This paper has been prepared by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) for the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs (DETYA) to provide information on the relationship between the Year 3 and Year 5 literacy benchmarks in Reading, Writing and Spelling and relevant standards from other countries.
