IT Governance has been applied successfully in large private companies and
for-profit organizations. However, other domains such as small & medium enterprises
(SME), public administration and non-for-profits have difficulties to apply conventional
IT Governance and IT Alignment methods. 

My research aims towards the application of IT Governance in special domains. Our
research has shown that domain specific models and methods can help to improve and
strengthen IT Governance attempts in these organisations. Hence, I'm currently
involved in two research projects: 

1) IT Governance in Emergency Management Organisations (PhD Thesis, Bond University) 

2) IT Governance / IT Service Management in Small & Medium Enterprises (INNOTRAIN IT,
Heilbronn University)
