In 2011, Professor Marcus Breen joined Bond University's Faculty of Humanities and
Social Sciences from the United States of America where he was most recently Associate
Professor of Communication Studies at Northeastern University in Boston. 

Professor Breen’s academic experience includes positions at RMIT and Melbourne University
and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. 

Professor Breen holds a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies from the University of
Queensland, as well as a Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on journalism, history and
sociology, a Bachelor of Letters from the Australian National University in History, and
a PhD from Victoria University in Melbourne, with a thesis on the music industry.
