Professor Breen’s academic experience includes positions at RMIT and Melbourne University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA. Professor Breen holds a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies from the University of Queensland, as well as a Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on journalism, history and sociology, a Bachelor of Letters from the Australian National University in History, and a PhD from Victoria University in Melbourne, with a thesis on the music industry.
