Doctor of Philosophy - University of South Australia Bachelor of Arts - Monash University Diploma in Education - Rusden State College Master of Arts - Bond University Marie-Claire has a background in education through teaching Latin Languages, especially French and Spanish, both in Australia and in France and Spain. She was also an examiner for the British Association Examiners Board in Marbella, Spain. During her eight years in Spain, she had industrial experience in business, law, banking and the building industry using extensively her skills in Interpreting and Translation. Marie-Claire is completing her 20th year at Bond University. She was Coordinator of French and Spanish Language for 18 years and is now responsible for all French language courses. Marie-Claire is an expert in French and Spanish Language teaching methodology and has set up the Romance language departments at various educational institutions in Australia and Spain. She has developed the French and Spanish Language courses at Bond which boasts a unique study-abroad program where students can elect to complete their Major degrees in France and in Spain. She has been instrumental in establishing Student Exchange programs between Bond and Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg, France since 2000. In 2006, she organised an exchange program with Alcalá de Henares University in Madrid, Spain. Extra curricular activities include interpreting and translating for Law firms on the Gold Coast as well as being an official interpreter with Migrant Services/Centrelink. She has been involved in video presentations, voice overs and commercials in French and Spanish.
