As Associate Dean of the Integrated Learning Resource Center (the library and
computer labs), my primary role is to assist the Dean of the ILRC with planning;
budgeting; reporting; and the general, internal administration of the library, computer
labs, and media services (classroom AV support) departments of the ILRC. In fulfilling
this role, much of my attention is focused on personnel management including position
planning, recruitment, and evaluation processes at all levels of the organization. I also
assure that internal communication is flowing as smoothly as possible resolving any
naturally occurring interdepartmental issues and/or barriers to efficiency as they arise.
With the University archivist reporting directly to me, leadership of the University
archives is another important aspect of my administrative duties. Finally, I coordinate
and revise ILRC emergency planning policy and approaches in cooperation with the Liberty
University Police Department.
