As Chair of the UNO Library Research and Technology Support Department, I lead the planning and implementation of Library technology applications and systems. My Major Responsibilities: Oversee all research and reference assistance for in-person and virtual users, including management of the Learning Commons. Collaborate with librarians and academic faculty for the design and implementation of technology enabled learning including developing web-based library instruction programs, tutorials, and webinars, as well as innovative, digital course/curriculum-related instructional and information delivery tools and programs. Lead and encourage innovative development and use of emerging technologies (e.g.,Facebook,Twitter,blogs,wikis, etc.) to interact with users and deliver library resources and services Develop the library's web pages both public and intranet Serve as System Administrator of ILS functions Maintain the Library's proxy server and ensure remote access to library resources Serve as collection development librarian and provide research expertise in Computer Science and Math
