About Linda L. Strong

Professor Linda Strong has been awarded professor emerita by the Sacred Heart University Board of Trustees. Dr. Strong, Associate Professor, has completed thirty years as a tenured, full-time faculty member. Dr. Strong has been part of the growth of our college seeing it through from a department to a school and finally its designation as a college. Dr. Strong has held leadership positions in the College of Nursing including Program Director and Director of Community Partnerships. Dr. Strong taught in the inaugural RN-BSN program and the graduate programs including the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.  Dr. Strong has served as a mentor to many faculty. She is committed to her students above all and is held in high regard amongst alumni and current students. Her work throughout the Bridgeport community has been well recognized, as has her passion to serve the marginalized communities.Dr. Strong is a published faculty member and has been presenting at conferences both locally and internationally. Her work lead her to start the Emergency Preparedness program at Sacred Heart University where it continues to grow stronger each year.
 
Dr. Strong has built a legacy that will have long lasting effects in the DHCON and beyond.
