Abstract
Journey to the land of Hawaiian library leadership. Rediscover the value of positive thinking by learning how hot flowing lava not only has the power to destroy but to create! Encounter and reframe several core Hawaiian values with universal applications. Ascertain how the diversified core concepts of Aloha (unconditional acceptance), Ohana (family), and Alakai (one who leads by example) can create a stronger interdependent library environment that enhances experiences for staff and users. Participate in a fun interactive exercise to learn how you can bring the refreshing tropical attitudes of Hawaiian library leadership theory into your own organizational paradise.
