You have struck a vein of natural philosophy here. It began decades ago in northern
Minnesota when a sinuous trickle of clear water from snowmelt was observed to flow into a
muddy puddle. Muddy trickles into clear water puddles were similarly fascinating. The
vein has expanded into atmospheic science and turbulence in fluids through education and
personal interest. My motivation in these selected works has been to comprehend and to
share natural processes in the atmosphere and other fluids.
