Abstract

Developmental capacity of embryos is intimately linked to a normal chromosome constitution, and cytogenetic analysis of interphase nuclei by flourescent in situ hybridization (FISH) may therefore be used to monitor embryo quality. The aim of this study was to extend previous studies on cattle embryos to include domestic pigs by estimating the frequency of chromosome abnormalities in porcine embryos produced by in vitro techniques.
