I currently serve as Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and Interdisciplinary Programs at Butler University. Primary responsibilities include development and implementation of a comprehensive faculty development program, administration of four interdisciplinary programs, and administration and implementation of the Core curriculum. Previously, I directed the John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning at Gustavus Adolphus College and chaired the English Department. My responsibilities in the Kendall Center for Engaged Learning included program development (workshops, community conversation opportunities, travel seminars, and individual and department grant support), budget management, program evaluation, supervision of three faculty associates, strategic planning, and development of written materials for Advancement and College Relations related to faculty development at Gustavus. As an academic department chair, I led the English Department in making informed decisions about curriculum, staffing, evaluation, and co-curricular opportunities for students.
