Lara Freed joined the faculty in 2006 from private practice. She was previously a
litigation associate at Bingham McCutchen in Boston, where she represented broker-dealer
firms, financial institutions, and international companies. While in law school and
during her tenure with Bingham McCutchen, Professor Freed engaged in pro bono work,
representing abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system. As a law
student, she was executive editor of the Harvard Women's Law Journal.
