I am currently a post-doc at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). I received my PhD from the Department of Physics at ULB, Brussels in September 2004. My primary research interests include nonequilibrium dynamics of interacting particles (e.g. granular media) as well as more interdisciplinary topics such as the study of network dynamics and opinion formation models.
complex networks
Fast unfolding of community hierarchies in large networks (with Vincent D. Blondel, Jean-Loup Guillaume, and Etienne Lefebre), arXiv (2008)
Social, technological and information systems can often be described in terms of complex networks that...
Kinetic theory
A Brownian particle having a fluctuating mass (with Marcel Ausloos), Physical Review E (2006)
We focus on the dynamics of a Brownian particle whose mass fluctuates. First we show...
Network dynamics
Growing network with j-redirection (with Marcel Ausloos), Europhysics Letters (2007)
A model for growing information networks is introduced where nodes receive new links through j-redirection,...
Opinion formation
Dynamics of Vacillating Voters (with Sidney Redner), Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment (2007)
We introduce the vacillating voter model in which each voter consults two neighbors to decide...
