Dr. Kusum Rathore’s research focuses on translational research incorporating the
field of oncology research with veterinary hospital. The work involves identification of
various novel cancer drugs to therapeutically treat dogs and cats. Her research also
involves characterizing animal tumors and studying various imaging techniques to
identifying the effects of drugs of various types of cancers.

Dr. Rathore received her BS degree in triple major of Industrial Microbiology, Chemistry
and Botany from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 2005. Further she completed her MS
in Biomedical Sciences at University of Delhi, New Delhi in 2007. Dr. Rathore completed
her PhD degree in Genome Science Technology at University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is
currently pursing postdoctoral research training in translational cancer research at
Small Animal Clinical Sciences at University of Tennessee.
