Abstract
This chapter reviews and presents genetic algorithms and statistical methods based approach for early detection and classification of breast cancer using digital mammography. A feature selection using genetic algorithms and statistical methods have been combined and a hybrid system has been developed and tested on a benchmark database. A comparative analysis of the results is included in this chapter.
